نویسندگان

چکیده

The present study evaluates the insecticidal activity of two essential Oil (EOs) mint (Mentha arvensis), and ajwain (Carum capyicum) against pulse beetle (Callosobruchus chinensis) (L). Contact toxicities these were evaluated using parameters lifecycle like total development period, numbers eggs laid, adult emergence longevity. Along with detoxification enzyme inhibition activities acetyl cholinesterase (AChE), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), transaminases enzymes- aspartate aminotransferases (AST) alanine (ALT) protein estimated. EOs observed showing toxicity (mint LC50 = 5.9 μl/ ml LC50= 7.02 ml). Exposure altered significantly (p<0.01). also significant Thus, it is concluded that can be recommended as safe ecofriendly alternatives.

Insecticidal Activity and Chemical Composition of the Morinda lucida Essential Oil against Pulse Beetle Callosobruchus maculatus

Insecticidal activity of essential oil extracted from Morinda lucida was tested on pulse beetle Callosobruchus maculatus, which is a pest that causes serious damage to several pulses. The insecticidal activity was compared with two pesticides, Phostoxin and Primo-ban-20. 120 mixed sex adult C. maculatus were introduced, along with 30 g of cowpeas. Four concentrations (0.40, 0.20, 0.10, and 0.05...

Insecticidal activity of plant essential oils against Pediculus humanus capitis (Anoplura: Pediculidae).

The insecticidal activity of 54 plant essential oils against female Pediculus humanus capitis De Geer was examined using direct contact and fumigation methods, and compared with the lethal activity of delta-phenothrin and pyrethrum, two commonly used pediculicides. In a filter paper contact bioassay with female P. humanus capitis, the pediculicidal activity was more pronounced in eucalyptus, ma...
